Suzanne King is a freelance travel journalist and former editor of 'The Spirit of Canada', the magazine of the Canadian Tourism Commission. She has lived in France, Greece and South Africa, and when not travelling can be found in London NW5 As well as writing about travel, Elaine Robertson gives travel lectures and has taught English in Nepal and India. She lives in London W4.

Brought to you by Cosmo? This book is more about travel from city to city with a four star motel meets Lonly Planet... Should not be in the backpacking section. All of the sources are limited to the UK.

Like a travel show in library binding.

I very much enjoyed this book.
It is very adventurous and you can't help but fantasize about traveling yourself when you're reading it.
It's somewhat geared toward women as both of the authors are women, but as a girl I liked that.
It tells you how pick out a proper sleeping bag, pad, backpack, and almost any other gear you may need, with lots of check lists and wonderful little travelogues from fellow travelers in between chapters.
While perhaps they are a little too concerned about thieves, It is a very fun and enjoyable read.
If you enjoy planning and traveling in your imagination before you actually start out on your adventure, then I highly recommend this book for you!
